Graphic Designer and Web Producer

The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI), adivision of 1105 Media, is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer and Web Producer to join its team.  The Web Producer/Designer will be responsible for managing the ongoing production and maintenance of the group’s Websites. In addition to managing Web graphics and layout of the organization's main print publications.  This individual will work with the Web editors to post stories and images on the site, work with video, photo galleries and other multimedia assets, maintain online message boards and blogs, and collaborate with interactive marketing, editorial and technical teams on site updates and special projects.  This individual will also work with the print editorial staff to layout the major print publications of TDWI.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Use content management tools to implement daily and weekly site updates.
  • Coordinate the implementation of new features for the Websites:  boards, videos, podcasts, blogs, widgets, etc.
  • Update, modify and correct graphical design elements, including navigation and images.
  • Manage the way content appears on the site; create and input polls, surveys, sweepstakes and editorial content.
  • Work with designers, editors, project managers, IT and other teams to ensure site is updated in a timely fashion and consistent with the brands.
  • Work with editorial staff to produce print publications and collateral for TDWI.
  • Support migration of Web content from proprietary Content Management System (CMS) to another CMS (Sitecore).
  • Support day-to-day stakeholder Web production requests.
  • Assist with documentation and maintenance of Web author best practices guidelines.
  • Design and reformat basic collateral for the Web and print (photos, art images, pdfs, etc.)
 
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years experience in a related position.
  • Knowledge of HTML, Advanced Web development and online media technologies, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Flash.
  • Knowledge of InDesign.
  • Experience producing Web content with Content Management System (CMS).
  • Project coordination and management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Marketing and/or sales copywriting and editing experience a plus.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
